The Story

Imagine the courage to leave behind everything you know – your home, your community, your sense of belonging – in pursuit of safety. This is the reality faced by refugees, who often arrive in unfamiliar places with nothing more than the clothes on their backs and a flicker of hope for a better future.

Hi there, we're Wen Shuen and Ellie, passionate and dedicated Malaysian Youth Volunteers (MYV) from Sunway & Monash University. We believe in the profound impact of compassion and share a common mission of making a difference in the lives of refugees. The stories of families torn apart, children living in uncertainty, and individuals forced to flee their homes due to conflict or persecution deeply resonate with us.

We are currently running a fundraising campaign under a project called "Empowering Equalities" aimed at supporting and making a positive impact on Malaysia's refugee community. Our motivation for this fundraising campaign is firmly rooted in the urgent need to provide essential support to refugees, who have endured unimaginable hardships. We're inspired by their resilience and determination to rebuild their lives despite adversity.

The funds collected will be donated to the refugee learning centers to fund the refugee children’s learning and also for our operating cost.
