The Story

Hi, I’m Rish. I have always been someone who enjoys watching random shows on the TV. One of the series that I watched a couple of years back revolves around the life story of an autistic youth. At that moment, I felt that I was exposed to the challenges faced by the autistic community which may seem insignificant to others. This led to a question that I started asking myself.

Does everyone realize these difficulties faced by the autistic community? How are they being supported by the government and the local community?

I personally feel that there isn’t much exposure given towards autism in our school curriculum and society itself. AIESEC is taking the initiative by initiating a crowdfunding for a sensory room. A sensory room is designed for autistic individuals where sensory experiences will be able to make them feel calm, supported, and focused. Therefore, I decided to take this opportunity to share this with everyone so we can contribute together to make their lives better. Everyone deserves to be happy and treated equally.
