The Story
What's up! I am Aurora, a Local Virtual Volunteer from AIESEC in UTAR. I am interested in helping children, especially children with unique abilities.
In my "Hope for Autism" project, I have a better understanding of autistic children.
Autistic children have their unique way to communicate with the world. It's not an illness nor a disease but it is a special gift for the child throughout life. They need your support to help them to better understand the world.
In our first session, we had a short introduction. It felt heart-warming seeing the children try their best to introduce themselves. Some of them took 5 minutes to understand what we are saying and tell us their name and age. I really love the spirit of always trying from the children, which I think it's something I need to learn from them.
Imagine if we are in their situations, don't we need the support and help from the public?
