The Story

My name is Amanda and I am a fundraiser for AIESEC in Sunway's Clean Our Plate Project crowdfunding campaign - Race Against Hunger.

The Problem

With the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, Malaysia has implemented various movement restrictions such as MCOs, RMCO, CMCO, and EMCO to combat the pandemic since the start of 2020. Ever since the implementation of the movement restriction, the people's life has been negatively affected in terms of the reduction in household income which leads to certain B40 household to face poverty and hunger. As this is often the case, the vulnerable communities, especially the extremely poor people suffer the most as they have low incomes. Since the Covid-19 pandemic began, vulnerable communities around the world keep sending a clear, urgent, and repeated message: “Hunger may kill us before coronavirus”.

Donate to this fundraising program, we can help underprivileged people to end hunger today. The funds collected will be donated to soup kitchens where free foods can be served to those in urgent need.
