World Youth Foundation

An NGO with Special Consultative Status with ECOSOC Incorporated in 1994, WYF aims to promote research, development and documentation of youth programmes. WYF works closely with the Ministry of Youth & Sports Malaysia, UN agencies i.e. UNESCO, UNAIDS, UNDP, OHCHR, UNEP, ESCAP, ILO, WHO, Commonwealth Secretariat, ASEAN Secretariat, World Bank, international NGOs, National Youth Councils, Regional Youth Caucuses, national bodies and local governments; etc. Since its inception the Foundation has undertaken and implemented several seminars/meetings, conferences/ dialogues for youth in areas such as population, HIV/AIDS, drug and substance abuse, health, human rights, education, environment and sustainable development, climate change adaptation, disaster risk management, terrorism, racism, entrepreneurship, globalization, culture and diversity, peace and religion, leadership training, youth empowerment, conflict resolution etc., The programmes provide a platform for an interchange of ideas among youth organizations both locally and internationally. WYF supports the MDGs and is an active member of the Beyond 2015 and My World Campaign .
