Speak Up For a Brighter Future!

The Story

Introduction

Speak Up by AIESEC in University of Malaya was recently established in June 2018 and we have successfully accomplished and empowered 2 batches of Exchange Participants as well as students. Our target area for our third batch will be in Klang. We plan to empower the children in Yayasan Selangor Klang which holds a reputation in providing for students from low income family. The students, aged 13-17, live in a hostel prepared by YSK.

Objective 

Our goal is to ensure that the students get the opportunity to develop their soft skills in public speaking as well as in communication. We aim to provide the neccessary platform for them to flourish in this modern society. We will design a syllabus that is suitable for the students. Our facilitators, the Exchange Participants, will be trained by a professional trainer to be able to provide the required workshop fo the students.

The money donated to this project will be utilized to support the Exchange Participants in creating a better, more effective workshops. We would also like to be able to provide the students with a token from this project in the form of project t-shirts.

In Speak Up, we believe that everyone has equal chance to get their voice heard by the world and you can have the chance to be one of the people who support these future leaders. So, like Mahatma Gandhi once said, "Be the change you want to see in the world".
