Gentayangan Fundraising Project

The Story

We are Gentayangan. Our mission is to create a virtual space where the diversity of Indigenous knowledge, art, and traditions can be celebrated. Through social media, we aim to challenge stereotypes, promote cultural sensitivity, and contribute to the broader dialogue on Indigenous issues in Malaysia.

By fundraising for this campaign, we hope to be able to help Malaysian indigenous people by shedding light on their issues, having people to empathize with them as well as financially supporting them to alleviate their tangible predicament.

As students of IIUM, we were enlightened about Orang Asli & Orang Asal (Malaysian indigenous) and we discovered how important they are in sustaining our biodiversity. From the water we drink, to the air we breathe, we city folk are indebted to their presence that enables us to live healthily
