CAREDERLY

The Story

Hello! We are a team called Carederly which consists of 12 students from the Department of Applied Arts and Design (AAD), in the Kuliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design (KAED), IIUM. Here we are conducting a fundraising campaign to collect donations for the elderly women in Mesra Home, Ampang, in partnership with Jiwa Amal using the GivingHub platform.

Mesra Home is a charity home for neglected Muslim elderly women who are diagnosed with disabilities. Mesra Home started its operation back in 2013 in Taman Sri Gombak and eventually moved to Taman Sri Watan in early 2014 for a more spacious and harmonious environment.

Help us help our lovely elderly women who live here. Every dollar donated will be used to fund their healthcare, basic necessities, essential care, and nutritional meals. By donating, it is a step closer to brightening their days, restoring dignity, and showing gratitude for their invaluable contributions to our society. We shall stand together to extend our hand in support of our beloved elderly members, who now need our help more than ever.

Aim:

The aim of our organization is to enhance the quality of life for the elderly by providing support, resources, and a sense of community to promote their well-being and independence.

Objectives:

1. To provide personalized care and support services tailored to the unique needs of the elderly.

2. To create programs and activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and physical well-being.

3. To advocate for the rights and interests of the elderly within the community and society at large.

4. To collaborate with other organizations and stakeholders to improve access to healthcare, housing, and other essential services for the elderly.

5. To empower and educate caregivers and family members on how to best support and care for the elderly.

Vision:

Our vision is to create a society where the elderly are valued, respected, and able to live fulfilling lives with dignity and purpose. We envision a community where the wisdom and experience of older individuals are celebrated and where they have the support and resources they need to age with grace and independence. Through our work, we aim to build a world where aging is seen as a natural and important phase of life, and where the elderly are embraced and included in all aspects of society.
