The Story

In a modern society, such as the one that we live in, the value of education is essential in equipping the younger generations of our community with knowledge, values and skills that will become the key to opening up new doors for future opportunities. However, In 2011, the ministry of education found that 35-38% of Malaysian students failed to meet the minimum proficiency levels in Mathematics and Science subjects, putting them behind their peers within the neighboring countries.This education gap is a divide that potentially denies B40 children the chance to reach for the stars. But as every story goes, there's hope and the power of community to replace a gap with bridges of opportunity

Hello! We are Kaya and Kavi from AIESEC in Sunway, volunteers of the project “Speak Up.” We are part of a team that aims to narrow down the education gap between students of various backgrounds and instill passion for STEAM-related fields, equipping them with essential skills for future employability. Through our personal development workshops, our goal is to empower B40 students to acquire knowledge, confidence, and build self character. Quality education is never limited to knowing how to write and read, but also includes building and sharpening skills to build a brighter future for these children.

We believe that as youth volunteers, we can use our privilege to fight for equal opportunities for education, and unlock the potential of Malaysia's future leaders, thinkers, and innovators.

Cost Breakdown

• Part of the proceeds earned through this crowdfunding campaign will go into supporting our targeted beneficiary in sustaining their operation.
• The remaining sum will be applied by AIESEC in Sunway to continue supporting and sustaining our future projects around Bandar Sunway
• The merchandise prices offered cover both the cost of production and GivingHub's 6.5% tax.
