Hi, my name is Nicholas Roshan from Malaysia
and my name is Diao Linyan from China
We meet while volunteering for the Empowering Equalities project in AIESEC Sunway as we complete our tertiary education. Education is an important part of our lives but as you are reading this there are millions of refugee students around the world whose dreams of pursuing their education in the field that they are passionate about are crushed as they are forced out of their home countries into unknown territory which denies them this right to education and a chance for a better life.
As of last year, there are more than 47,200 refugee children below the age of 18 years, of which only 30% are enrolled in educational centres. For the vast majority of refugee children pursuing an education is but a distant dream. Fugee school, a non-profit educational centre for refugee students in Malaysia has strived to make this dream a reality by providing them the opportunity to access quality education.
They cannot do this alone; your help is needed in ensuring these refugee students receive the quality education that they deserve. We hope that you would consider making a small contribution so that we may achieve our target goal of RM500 that will go towards the Fugee School’s Scholarship Program where with your help we will be able to sponsor up to 20 students undertaking their higher education.
A small donation on your part will have a profound impact on the life and future of a refugee youth by providing them the chance of becoming the bright, skilled, and capable professionals of the future. Together we can make a difference !
