The Story

I am Edison from AIESEC in UTAR, currently in the course of Electronic Engineering. I love to feed myself daily about global issues that are happening around us. I always believe that the world problem are not only required to be encountered by adult but we can certainly be passionate and solution oriented by actively involving as a youth! Therefore, I am supporting SDG initiatives from the United Nation.

Our campaign, Speak Up 8.0 aims to improve English effective communication skills and deliver Science knowledge of STEAM to B40 students. The objective of this crowdfunding is to: Funding on Speak Up to deliver quality education to the B40 community focusing on STEAM education (eg. soap kits). Connect with the community on giving support towards B40 students on their STEAM education development.

To increase the awareness of students' educational development. We are intending to spark students' interest in Chemistry, we plan to provide a basic understanding of Form 5 Chemistry Chapter 5.1 Soap and Detergent for students while letting students experience the process of soap making. Hence, we plan to provide soap kits related to STEAM education for 40 beneficiaries from B40 students aged 15-17 years old in Malaysia.

For every RM50 donated, 1 soap kit is provided. We aim to provide a minimum of 1 soap kit to each beneficiary. Donors that contributed RM20 or more are entitled to customize words to the B40 students, and we will send your kind words in e-postcards and the soap kits to them. Hence, each donation creates 2 layers of impact: education and emotional impact. Speak Up project also collaborates closely with NGOs, local youth groups, social enterprises, and local secondary schools to ensure each of the supplies is channeled to the students in need.
