Hi! It's Celine here! As an enthusiast in science, education and confidence building, I have found out the project which suits me very well. It is a great experience to become one of the project volunteer for Speak Up organized by AIESEC in Penang(APEN) and AIESEC in UTAR(AUTAR).
The pandemic had caused a huge change in the world's learning mode, we are exposed to more virtual learnings, online materials and new learning method options. However, let's not forget that STEAM education requires more than just knowledge, but also hands-on experience. Education in Malaysia still requires a lot of attention, especially on the lacking of students' awareness on two most important employmentability factors: English communication skills and problem solving with STEAM Education.
Speak Up is a Malaysian Youth Volunteer project that aimed for quality education in Malaysia, aligning project goals to SDG 4: Quality Education. In this season, Speak Up by APENxAUTAR aimed to improve students' skills on English communication and to spark their interest on Science in STEAM Education.
Thus, in this project, we are going to make the best use out of technology, reaching out to 40 B40 students and showing them the true power of speech and STEAM education.
