The Story

Hi, I am Yi Hui who is currently volunteering for AIESEC in Sunway. We aim to help those special needs children by bringing awareness to the community and provide help in various possible ways. 

“Sometimes real superheroes live in the hearts of small children fighting big battles” 

We all know that the youth holds power to the future, however, the society tends to overlook how children with special needs can also contribute back to the society if they are given an opportunity to get quality education and help. Based on the recent study by UNICEF, 43% of the Malaysian culture tends to hide children with disabilities from the society due to the stigma that they would affect the others from moving forward. Hence, circumstances of children with special needs are considered more challenging due to the current political and economic climate. Hence, they need assistance from non-government-funded centres to help them develop motor, sensory and cognitive skills.

What is IMC?

• Passionate training centre to develop individuals with special needs 
• Prepare individuals with special needs to develop useful skills 

The goal of our campaign, Include Me 4.0 is to:

• Raise awareness regarding the challenges faced by children with disabilities and the Special Needs community in Malaysia
• Empower society to advocate for Special Needs Children in order to foster a more inclusive Malaysia
• Raise funds for IMC Training Centre and AIESEC’s Get Fit, Get Inclusive volunteering initiatives through donations and merchandise sales
