The Story

Hello dear Readers,

I'm Kirrthana Mogan from AIESEC in UTAR. The people who are close to me knows me as the introverted bookworm who loves time alone and rarely go out of the comfort zone. However, Covid happened and I started to think about millions of students like me who were stuck up in their homes, studying online. To make a small change and make their online studying journey enjoyable, I joined volunteering projects organized by AIESEC. 3 projects later, here I am telling you an interesting yet an important story.

Studying online is not an easy feat, especially for the students from B40 family who are struggling during this difficult phase. Two years of online classes do have an effect on the children as they tend to stuggle to catch up on their studies as well as facing difficulties with their communication skills. To help them to get back on their feet and take up the courage to speak up, AIESEC in UTAR has organized SPEAK UP 8.0 project.

Having the SDG 4 as the target, the aim is to provide quality education to the students through workshops that can hone their confidence as well as teaching basic STEAM skills. It is an initiative that hopes to create an impact on the local community and now, the students need your help. To make the project a success, we are hoping a small donation from you to obtain science kits that would be helpful in teaching the students STEAM skills.

Dear readers, if you are still reading, I hope you can also be a cause that can contribute to our effort. Your selfless contribution is much appreciated.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Me
