For a Better Tomorrow, Help the Hungry!

The Story

Hello everyone! My name is Farhana Syafiqah and I am a year 2 student studying Bachelor of Science in Ecology Biodiversity at the University of Malaya (UM). Growing up I've always loved involving myself in volunteerism. Therefore, this time, I have decided to join Clean Our Plate project under AIESEC in UM as a volunteer to combat food waste.

Clean Our Plate started in the year 2016, planned by youths to tackle food waste issue that is happening in Malaysia to support the 12th Sustainable Development Goal: Responsible Consumption and Production. This time around, Clean Our Plate is collaborating with Yayasan Food Bank to raise funds for the underprivileged to have access to food supplies. 60% of the proceeds will go to Yayasan Food Bank whereas 40% will go to AIESEC in UM in efforts to create bigger impacts to our society.The tentative food donation list that will be received per beneficiaries are as follow:

1. Mini Rice Cake 30s (20g)

2. Margarine (1kg)

3. Orange Cordial (2kg)

4. Potato (2.5kg)

5. Onion (1.5kg)

6. Eggs Grade C 30s (60g)
