SPIRIT OF LOVE

The Story

Every sunrise is an invitation for us to arise and brighten someone's day. Only when we have the love from the community, people in need can escape from their dark and demanding time. 

My name is Yi Hang, I'm one of the organizing committees of the Clean Our Plate project from AIESEC in Penang. I hope that I can improve the current situation in my neighborhood in which many people are wasting their food regularly, which leads to the building up of food waste problem. 

Clean Our Plate is a project that addresses Sustainable Development Goals 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) with youths across Malaysia. We aim to raise awareness and attention among youths towards food waste issue, by promoting the correct attitude in managing preventable food waste and fully utilizing food waste through workshops and webinars. We believe after delivering the practical experiences to the youths, they will spread this action to the people around them. 

Therefore, I'm here to organize a crowdfunding program to help the people in need escape from their hard times. The money collected will be used to buy food for the B40 families, old folks, and orphanage homes, through our beneficiaries Green Hero. I hope that the community can lend a hand to them, by making some contributions to this crowdfunding program.
