Contribute To Inspire Young Innovators Through STEM

The Story

Hello, my name is Nur Sofea Binti Hushaini, a third-year student of Educational Studies from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). I am also a volunteer for AIESEC in Penang. According to a study by the Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF) in 2021, English proficiency is among the top five skills that empolyers looks for when hiring. Today, the latest survey from the MEF found that English proficiency among worker especially fresh graduates and SPM leavers are declining. Futhermore, not every student have the equal chance to improve STEM skills.

Through Speak Up! project, we aim to increase the confidence level of students speaking English and gain basic knowledge for STEM. Speak Up! Is a project that have around 200 stakeholders including the local communitiies, foreign volunteers and NGOs.

We hope through Speak Up! Project, students may gain better self-understanding, build confidence in themselves and learn the basis of STEM knowledge. Your contribution will be used to provide students with effective learning aids, professional resources as well as treats to increase theirs motivation drives.
