Hello everyone,
I'm Jia Yi, a student studying Bachelor of Communication at University Sains Malaysia. I'm crowdfunding for Speak Up! project, which aligns with SDG 4 (Quality Education).
As we all know, English proficiency and STEM knowledge are two essential factors of employability in the 21st century. In order to increase the number of young Malaysians with the necessary skills for employment in today's world, the Malaysian education system needs to resolve the following issues:
1. Students' low English proficiency level due to national English language education quality.
2. Students' subpar performance in applying science and mathematics knowledge.
3. Gap in education quality between states and within states across Malaysia.
Speak Up! is a project to empower students in Malaysia by developing their English-speaking ability and enhancing their knowledge and skills in STEM. We aim to widen Malaysian students' perspective on the world through this project by providing them with a cross-cultural learning environment.
Helping others in need would be a big step in making the world a better place and improving the lives of those who are not as lucky as us. As we all know, many students are impacted as the pandemic persists. Speak Up! , AIESEC in Penang is now doing a fantastic job to help the underprivileged students and those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in Malaysia by conducting personal development workshops and STEM workshops. We believe that every child deserves an education.
I hope everyone can support our project by donating to this project. We can make a difference by participating in this fundraising project as Helen Keller says, "alone we can do so little, together we can do so much."
