The Story

Hi, I am Amy, a Malaysian Penangite!

So, I am a virtual volunteer for a project, Cat Tales. Yeap, it is in the name, volunteering to help kitties get the happiest story of their lives! Our furry or even non-furry babies! Well, AISEC and the Cat Beach Sanctuary Penang are collaborating to help save and maintain a good environment for the kitties that are waiting for their forever home. I am here as well as my other volunteering friends who are also raising the fund together are here to gather love, happiness and help together with you and spread them to our furry babies.

I have a pair of cats myself for almost 2 years, and it costs quite an amount to maintain their health, food supplies, litter and many more in a month. I love my cats more than anything after my family. To think that there are many more other cats who are still waiting for their lovely forever home with their favourite human and maybe some other furry friends, wandering around seeking medical attention, shelter, food, and water makes me sad. I am unable to adopt more cats as I already have enough at home and that I also have allergies to cats.

To which made me realise, even if I can't adopt another or help one physically, I'll donate, sponsor, raise the shelters' fund with just a few clicks from home in bed, while watching a TV, while eating, while working for these furry babies at the Cat Beach Penang even if it's just a small amount of money. 

Imagine a 100 people came together and donated RM1 each, you would already be helping these furry babies from home for the kitties the Cat Beach or any stray cats brought in, or even those in the area a lot in so many ways. With RM100, it could help neuter a cat, or vaccinate 2 kitties, or get a 4kg worth of chicken to feed the sick kitties. 

Thank you for your consideration, help and attention for our furry babies. Just know that the kitties really appreciate and love you. We are also having fun virtual events ongoing until the first week of April, we will be live on Cat Beach Penang's Facebook page, so follow us and stay tuned! Don't forget to spread the love with your family members, your friends, your college friends, your teachers, your instagram followers, facebook friends or maybe any strangers about the fundraising too!
