Crowdfunding The Future- Make learning Fun with AIESECers

The Story

Hello! My name is Shawn, and I am a foundation in arts student at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR). I'm a really adventurous and extroverted person. Growing up, I was fortunate enough to appreciate everything that the world has to offer, but I always felt that there was something I could do to play a different role and help make this world and community a better place for everyone, which is why I strive to help out as much as possible.

I recently joined AIESEC as an initiative towards my bigger goal and i was introduced to this project which is Speak Up 7.0. The main goal of this project is to create a unique learning environment for students to obtain personal growth as well as technical skills that will benefit them in their future profession.Students will be able to obtain a better understanding of themselves and boost confidence in themselves.

Here are the experiences of these B40 students in Malaysia since the pandemic hit.:

"Pupils who are unable to stay up with their studies, especially as they advance to higher levels, are more likely to drop out." Various complaints from b40 parents and students have indeed been documented, including parents travelling great distances from home to gain their children internet access;
A university student in Sabah spends a day on a tree to take an online exam; siblings sharing devices, some needing to complete schoolwork after midnight, and elder siblings studies being disrupted                                                                                                                                         [New Straits Times]

This fundraising campaign is conducted in the intention of making a difference in the lives of 48 girls at SMK St. Bernadette's Convent in terms of Quality Education, the 4th Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), particularly in English language proficiency and STEM courses.
