The Story
Hello! I'm Xin Yin, an undergraduate student from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Kuala Lumpur. I am a volunteer for the Clean Our Plate(Summer 2021) of AIESEC. Through this program, we would like to increase awareness of the food waste issue in Malaysia as I believe we can make some changes to communities.
For your information, Malaysia produces 17,000 tonnes of food waste daily. 24% of the food waste is still edible! We are the solution to the problem of food waste and food poverty.
AIESEC UM's Clean Our Plate is collaborating with Yayasan Food Bank Malaysia. We aim to impact around 150 communities by assisting them during this challenging pandemic period. 70% of the funds will be donated to help the underprivileged and beneficiaries, whereas 30% will use for future project development from AIESEC.
A little donation can create endless ripples. Let's play our role by helping those in need!
