At 8, you were once the googly-eyed child who gets excited over the simplest of things like catching up with friends, exchanging lunchboxes, cheering for our team during sports day but not forgetting the main purpose of going to school, to LEARN and seek EDUCATION.
Sadly, refugees’ children in Malaysia do not have the privilege to attend public schools. As primary education builds the foundation for our future, these vulnerable communities face the lack of the fundamentals for every child, which concerns both Chloe and Ain.
Two people from contrasting backgrounds with one common mission, Chloe Chen and Ain Zuhraa are volunteers from Empowering Equalities. Chloe and Ain met a month ago with the purpose of helping this affected community with evident awareness of the issues surrounding the refugees and gain insider knowledge about them. As they slowly pave their way, Chloe and Ain aim to help this community through this fundraising campaign.
This project also contributes to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 10 – Reduced Inequalities by helping them in their education as well as ensuring their social inclusion.
Every donated amount will go to our collaborated Refugee Learning Centers which is:
- ElShaddai Refugee Learning Centre (ERLC), Klang, Selangor.
- The Peace Education Centre (T-PEC), Kuala Lumpur.
With Covid-19 that is still predicted to be here in the near future, we are reaching out to you. Please donate today to help them. Also, do contact us if you have any inquiries at @chloechenszeyun & @ainzuhraa on Instagram or through email at chloechenszeyun@gmail.com & ainzuhraa@gmail.com.
FOR YOU, IT'S JUST A CUP OF COFFEE. FOR THEM, IT’S A LIFESAVER.
We are so grateful for your kindness. Thank you for making a difference!
