The Story

Assalamualaikum and Hi everyone! I'm Nurul Ifatini Ismail, Year 3 Bachelor of Actuarial Science in University Malaya. This crowdfunding is one of initiative by Clean Our Plate AIESEC University of Malaya in collaboration with Yayasan Food Bank Malaysia. We aim to create awareness on food waste management and encourage everyone to contribute to societies.

Malaysia produce 17,000 tonnes of food waste daily. It is enough to feed 3 millions people for 3 meals per day! The sad truth is food waste could also give negative impacts to the environment such as climate change and biodiversity loss.Thus, I feel the urge to encourage everyone in reducing our food waste and start on contributing to the underprivileged community.

The main purpose of this project is to raise funds and encourage more people to contribute to the societies especially to those who have badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. All contributions will be handled by Yayasan Food Bank Malaysia to purchase necessities for the underprivileged.

All contributions no matter how big or small are truly appreciated. Thank you for joining us in creating a better future!
