The Story
Hi! We are fundraisers under SERUM and our names are Arthi, Airiel and Fatin. We are also postgraduate students and this month, we will be fundraising for menstrual equality for all in GivingHub platform.
"If someone can't affort food, they can't afford to buy sanitary pads either. But this connection is never made".
Period poverty in Malaysia has caused a wide health gap for its lower-income families. The inaccesibility of those who menstruate to safe and hygiene use of mentsrual goods, which has resulted in missed school days and jobs.
Hence, we are now fundraising under SERUM to provide reusable sanitary pads for beneficiaries from underserved communities across Malaysia.
*For every RM15 donated 1 reusable sanitary pad is provided.*
We aim to provide a minimum 2 pads to each beneficiary. These reusable sanitary pads are made by our talented refugee artisants, which creates 2 layers of impact:health and economic impacts.
