The Story

The name given is Aiman Hakimi. I am currently part of AIESEC in Penang and have been an active AIESECer since spring 2021! 

I am setting up this crowdfunding page in support of a fundraising campaign for Clean Our Plate project hosted by AIESEC in Penang. We primarily focus and advocate zero-waste drive and to peck out the stale long-standing issue that has been ingrained in the back of the mind of people in societies for far too long.

Did you know that sometimes our hunger pangs have inadvertently contributed to tonnes of daily food waste in Malaysia which could have otherwise been enough to feed millions of people a day? Our mothers were right, we ought to think of people in underprivileged countries and how we are depriving them of good and nutrient-dense meals on their tables everytime we throw away our food. 

What if I tell you that it does not take a big commitment for you to make a big and sustainable impact in the society. By donating to this campaign, you are concurrently playing your part in fight for achieving zero hunger (SDG 2) that aims to end hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture. There is a need for everyone to join up with this common cause for the betterment of our future! I am proud to declare that I have done my part and I urge everyone to follow suit to end this hunger issue, in tandem, once and for all.
