Have you ever wondered there are over 800 million people suffering every day just because they don't have a single meal for the day?
Before answering the questions above let me have a quick introduction of myself. I’m currently a second-year student in Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree of Quantity Surveying. I’m one of the organizing committees of the Clean Our Plate project hosted by AIESEC in Penang and currently, I'm fundraising for this project to support our AIESEC National Project, Clean Our Plate!
Clean Our Plate is a project which aims to increase awareness, change attitude, initiate easy & obvious actions of youth & public towards reducing preventable food waste & fully utilizing food waste. This project is also aligned with 12th SDG Responsible Consumption and Production. Most importantly, I am fundraising for this project because I believe we're able to lend a hand to the underprivileged communities on financial constraints as well as advocate the reduction of food waste.
Lastly, I'm going to share the impacts of the Clean Our Plate projects run in Malaysia. To make it short, Clean Our Plate has been reached more than 400 Global Volunteers, 130 Secondary Schools, 11,000 Secondary Students, and 58,000 digital reaches in our social media. Our food waste measurement is measured by 4 Matrics. If you're curious what are the 4 Matrics, feel free to have a look at our main fundraising page as we had attached it to the main page of this event.
I hope after you went through all the impact that we created, you are inspired to donate to this good cause! If you're interested to know more about the project, please don't hesitant to approach me!
