Together As One For Cancer Children

The Story

Hi, my name is Ivy! I am currently raising fund to NCSM which provides cancer patients especially cancer children a free stay at NCSM’s Children’s Home of Hope to reduce their burden during the course of their treatment.  The reason why I decided to raise fund to help is because I understand how much pain and suffering a cancer patient could experience. My mum was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 17 years old.  When I heard about the news, it struck my life so hard that I didn’t know how to accept the fact.  While watching my mum went through surgery to remove her right breast and losing her beautiful long hair due to the treatments, I was so heart broken. During that time, I was so afraid that my mum might leave me and my brother anytime. We love our mum and we are so used to having her around us. Fortunately, my mum survived fighting cancer!  I decided to take part in this fundraising campaign to help cancer children who fighting for cancer because I understand that how much pain and suffering they are undergoing.
