Thas's Fundraising Campaign for Cancer Patients

The Story

I am Thascuevta and 20 years old this year. I am currently doing Bachelor of Computer Science in Taylors. I enjoy reading and baking. My passion is to do my best in helping those in need. By the way, I would like to keep my introduction short and get to the point of this fundraising campaign.

Firstly, I am doing this fundraising campaign under AIESEC in Taylors. The purpose of this campaign is to help underprivileged cancer children and provide support to cancer patients, survivors, caregivers and public. I have chosen to raise funds for this campaign because a wide range of people had been suffering from cancer and many are not aware on how these people are getting affected by it. There are plenty of reasons for it.Through this campaign, we get to spread the awareness and prevention of cancer to public.

We might not know who could get affected with cancer. It can be anyone and might be your loved ones. Sometimes it will get you by surprise that even someone that looks healthy could be a cancer victim. I had seen and experienced it many times. Some of my relatives are cancer victims, and they are trying their best to fight it. It is difficult to fight as cancer patients experience tremendous amount of pain physically and emotionally. Their family members, friends, relatives and also the community should stand together to support them in their journey. Therefore, I think each and everyone should play an important role in helping these cancer patients to fight and make them believe that they can do it. No matter how small a help is, help is still a help, and it means so much to them. I really hope that everyone could contribute a little to support these fighters.

This fundraising is for National Cancer Society Malaysia(NCSM) which is a non-profit cancer organisation in Malaysia that provides education, care and support servicers for cancer patients and public.The donations will be used to build better facilities for Children's Home for Hope, where the cancer children stay for their treatment. Besides that, from this fundraising NCSM will be able to provide nuclear imaging services and screening to public, including the underprivileged.They will also get to educate the public on cancer prevention and provide support to patients, survivors, caregivers and public.
