Hello, My name is Pratibha a fresh graduate of Psychological Science a virtual volunteer for  AIESEC’s Get Fit Get Inclusive (GFGI) initiative. I am passionate about helping differently-abled individuals. I believe in organizations helping atypical children from their younger years and for that reason, I want to help IMC training to raise the necessary funds they need.

• My aim is to raise awareness within the community and educate on the importance of cultivating an inclusive society. #staywoke
• I strongly believe that we as a society should See the child, not the disability. They are all just like us! They too want to improve themselves and live their lives.
•  The Special Need Community requires our attention, our kindness and our open hearts. I urge you to see the beauty of a child wanting to learn and grow. They just need different tools, resources and concepts to be able to achieve greatness.
• There is so much we can learn from them If we give the support and the  chance to hone their skills they are great members to have in our society 

Get Fit Get Inclusive (GFGI) Initiative by AIESEC in Sunway:

Aligning with Sustainable Development Goal 10 "Reduced Inequalities", GFGI aims to bridge the gap for children with learning disabilities, hoping they may receive their special educational needs through the virtual inclusive special education programs. 

 The primary purpose to raise the awareness of children with special disabilities within the community and generate funds through the selling of merchandise to support the IMC Training Centre for Special Needs.

 Through this crowdfunding platform, I hope to:

• Encourage youths to advocate against the current stigmas and discrimination faced by Special Children
• Help IMC to consistently provide a safe and secure environment for Special Children to develop their lifestyle skills, and in potentially constructing a new centre to support more Special Needs children.

What is IMC Training Centre for Special Needs?

IMC is a passionate training centre devoted to developing children and individuals with Special Needs. Through personalised learnings and a team of dedicated staff and volunteers, IMC aims to not only prepare Special Children to assimilate into mainstream society but also instil in them good moral attitudes and a replenished sense of self-worth.

NOW due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however, the centre has been facing an onslaught of challenges like the lack of voluntary manpower and donations means that they are not able to operate as efficiently and support the number of Special Children and orphans that are completely under their guardianship.
