The Story

Hi! My name is Kamal AIdeed,  I am a student of Universiti Malaysia Sabah and have been an official member of AIESEC since October 2020. After joining this voluntary club, I've  learned about Sustainable Development goals (SDG) - a framework designed  to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. AIESEC is a good platform in which it aims to sustain and protect the  environment. Being an AISECer. it has been a privilege for me as I get to learn more about  enviromental issues that we are facing especially in Sabah. Despite the fact that Sabah may seem like every eco tourist's dream- from its crystal-clear of seawaters and the beautiful flora and fauna, sadly the visitors landing here would be more shocked by the condition of the environment that is getting polluted!  Nevertheless, we can still make an impact if we start taking action now.

Since 2018, we have been working on a social project called "Nature Warrior" to raise awareness among the public, especially the people residing near the coast, and aim to sustain the biodiversity of marine life for a prolonged period in Sabah as well. 

We collaborated with the Kudat Turtle Conservation Society in the year of 2019 to have coral replanting, beach clean up, and rebuilding the turtle hatchery throughout the project timeline. We believe a series of small actions brings a big impact. Due to the pandemic attacks, the conditions become more serious and we need your little kindness to help the community.
