The Story

Hi! I'm Eve Gene, a Johorian currently studying in Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) as a first-year student. Coming from the opposite side of East Malaysia, I have always seen Sabah as an extraordinary place unique for it’s highest mount, crystal clear sea, greens and trees, vast biodiversity, exotic cultural traditions and as a beautiful site dominated with attractive sand beaches.

Unfortunately, things are not as realistic as it seems to be. The land below the wind is facing a great danger with pollution, that is seriously affecting our precious nature and the lives of many marine creatures.

That is why I’m initiating a fundraising campaign as an AIESECer to help with raising awareness among the public and nearby residents about the effect of water pollution, and at the same time aims to protect and sustain the marine and coastal ecosystem for the future.  All in all, it’s an act of support to our Nature Warrior 5.0 project which align with Sustainable Development Goal 14 -  Life Below Water, to restore the damage , reduce the consumption of single-use plastic , and conserve our Mother Earth .
