Balqis' Fundraiser for 'H4Y 2020'

The Story

Hi, my name is Balqis, a 2nd Year Biology student from UPM and this marks my second time, fundraising! I am really into the idea of helping people and nature as well which is why I choose to fundraise for this campaign.

I believe that cancer fighters are among the greatest warriors on this planet. The will, determination and courage instilled in their hearts to keep on battling will never fail to inspire me. However, due to the pandemic, it has affected the provisions of cancer services like NCSM; therefore I feel honoured to be able to contribute for a more sustainable system.

I was and still am really grateful for this opportunity, because the idea of making a good change constantly motivates me to do more good deeds. Personally, this is a huge thing for me, because cancer runs in my family. In just last year, two family members from my Mom's side has passed away to colon and tongue cancer; My aunt is a strong survivor of cervical cancer. The events have made me a much more cautious person in terms of diet and lifestyle; it also has become a huge drive to run this fundraise with hope that it could save countless lives and for them to then lead on a great happy life!

We must not let the pandemic drown the hopes of the noble fighters and show them that there's light at the end of every tunnel. They must not stop fighting and keep on believing in themselves. Let's do what we can. I believe that safely donating from home is one of the ways we can help them. We rise by lifting others, even a few bucks can make a huge difference. Your support matters.
