Farm In The City (FITC) located in Seri Kembangan which is around 20 minutes drive from Kuala Lumpur, is a unique concept that combines the thrills of wildlife with the beauty of nature in a designed environment of a conservation farm.
Designed to resemble a typical Malaysian Kampong setting, it provides an opportunity for the young and old to get close to animals and plants which you mostly read about or see on TV. The farm is partially cage-less where visitors can get up close and personal with more than 100 species of animals ranging from the usual farm animals to rare and exotic ones.
One can feed, touch, and play with the exotic animals within close proximity. Apart from fun-filled experience, FITC also executes various educational programs targeted at visitors of all ages which center's around themes of conservation. It is part of the vision to inform and educate the public on the habitat, behavior, and geographical distribution of the animals in the global landscape.
Farm In The City always aims to be the platform to educate visitors on topics and issues especially related to nature and community. With this, one main issue that we feel is very important to tackle is Food Waste Management. Therefore, we are happy to collaborate for the Clean Our Plate campaign.
By providing our support, we feel that Farm In The City can be a part of this program to educate and also to raise fund which is to be utilised for the campaign.
Since the main visitors of Farm In The City are families especially with small children, it will be the best platform to educate people especially children on the importance of managing and reducing food waste.
