Yo I am Joel Vun from AIESEC in CU !
I am currently a new member(newbie) of AIESEC in CU. Before I joined AIESEC, I have experienced being a Virtual Volunteer in Speak Up 7.0 last summer. These experiences allow me to understand that I am a teacher who taught the students English and a friend to approach them. I shared my experiences with them and motivate them to move forward to strive for a better future. It feels good when you saw the happiness and hope of coming out of their face, and I know that I'm doing the right thing. This is the purpose that drives me to join AIESEC to continue striving for the best and impact my community.
This project called "Speak Up" will be targeted to secondary kids, providing them a platform to raise their confidence in English speaking through workshops conducted by volunteers worldwide. Education through the STEM initiative will also be implemented to better equip the students for the increase of demand in various skillsets. The money we raised will work with different schools and have few Learning Partners to carry out different rural students' activities.
What is AIESEC ?
