I can't think of a clever title but wanted to help stray dogs

The Story

Who am I?

A bored kid from Kuching who honestly doesnt have anything better to do so decided to join a fundraising project introduced by a friend. I might dead inside but saving helpless animals is an important task and warms my dead heart. I don't take myself to serious nether do i care, but still wanted to some good for the community.

What's the problem?

There is a large number of strays in Sibu recently. 900 stray animals were rescued by shelters in Sibu in 2019. The dog catching unit of Sibu Municipal Council had caught 83 dogs in January and 96 dogs in February this year. There is also a lack of animal welfare in Sibu. Besides that, some pet owners neglect their responsibilities on their pets with evidence that point to some irresponsible pet owners leaving their pets outside when they do not want to take care of them anymore, turning them into strays, which doesn't help at all during this global pandemic.A large number of strays combined with poor animal welfare causes them to be possible carriers of dangerous diseases, such as rabies.

What's the solution?

We aim to raise RM500 in total to help the Sibu Animal Rescue Society in funds, so they can use it for pet food, and shelter for the stray animals. Help the good bois. To share this fundraising page or to donate will be a big help .

THE IMPACT

At the end of the campaign, we hope that the fundings for the organization would be provided to keep the efforts ongoing. Also, it is hoped that the community is:

• more aware of issues of rabies and concerned about being responsible pet owners.

• more concerned about ensuring the welfare of stray animals is sustained
