Poverty and education are intertwined. Globally, 745.1 million adults are illiterate, 114 million young people lack basic reading and writing skills where two-thirds of them are women and in Malaysia, with an average income of RM2,537, 91.1% of our B40 community only have SPM or below education levels, which causes them to be vulnerable to economic shocks and hardship.
My name is Jespuvan Singh. I am one of the founders of #KLSCS (Kuala Lumpur Sikhs Community Services). We do street feeding and I have been invited as a guest teacher on the free online learning platform - SOLS 24/7 Education. Serving on the streets has thought me the importance of education and how important it can be to the underprivileged. It may just be their ticket out of the hand-to-mouth existence.
I need your help to raise funds in order to provide free quality education for our B40 communities. Your donation of just RM10 can ensure they receive a free SOLS 24/7 online education for a month. Your contribution will help support dedicated teachers in conducting virtual outreach classes and activities. In this way, our B40 communities can educate themselves today at no cost. You can make a difference.
Let’s take action now and make that difference!!
