Help to Bring the Paitan Kids a better English Classroom

The Story

PROBLEM

Education is becoming more of a privilege than a necessity among the poor, and the Paitan kids are no exception. Around 40 students ranging from 7 to 12 years old are having difficulties to learn English due to the poor condition of their classroom. Hence, we wish to turn their fates around.

SOLUTION

The solution  for this problem is quite simple: give them a better classroom to learn English. Their classrooms are extremely dilapidated: broken floors, walls and roof and even wet floor. During the monsoon season, its even harder for the Paitan kids to travel to their class by boat. How could someone learn in such an environment??

Thus, we want to create a safe space for them to learn English in peace. We strongly believe that a proper classroom encourages the Paitan kids to learn better.

IMPACT

So what would RM8000 get them? They are:

• a classroom with proper flooring and roofing
• classroom material (A4’s paper, pen, pencil, table, plywood, whiteboard, stationeries, books, class decorations and paints)
• their hopes and dreams 😇
