St. Nicholas' Home

We walk by Faith, not by Sight this motto has been the driving force of St. Nicholas™ Home, Penang, since its inception in 1926. As a non-profit and non-governmental charitable organization, St. Nicholas' Home aims to respond to the evolving needs of blind and visually impaired people in Malaysia. Our mission is to empower the visually impaired to fully participate in society as a contributing citizen with dignity. Currently around 100 blind and visually impaired residents and trainees ranging from age 6 to 77 years are under training or in resident at the Home, irrespective of their religion, race and background. St. Nicholas' Home continues to lead as an innovator developing new programmes, services and technology that is forward relevant for the visually impaired community in our rapidly changing society.
