SHELTER home for children, a registered welfare organization, was set up in June 1981; guided by the vision of giving children ˜at risk™ a childhood and future by protecting, guiding and healing them, and by building strong communities and loving families. SHELTER™s services and initiatives are aimed at: - Providing care for abused, abandoned, neglected or at-risk children through our residential homes, counselling, therapy and other services SHELTER has also the following awards : - Malaysia Prisons Department. 2007. - Malaysian Winner. Inaugural Asia Pacific NGO Awards. 2004
