Cinta Syria Malaysia

Refugees

Cinta Syria Malaysia (CSM) is a registered non-governmental organization (NGO) in Malaysia, focused on humanitarian volunteer work, particularly for Syrian refugees. It was initially established in 2013 in Mafraq, Jordan under the name Tangisan Syria di Bumi Jordan, and officially registered in Malaysia in 2014 as Persatuan Cinta Syria Malaysia. The organization was founded by Musa Al-Nuwayri, who currently serves as its Chief Executive Officer.

Headquartered in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor, CSM extends its services across Jordan, Turkey, Lebanon, and Malaysia. Over the years, CSM has become an active member of major humanitarian alliances such as MyAqsa Defenders (joined in 2021 during the Saif Al-Quds war) and Gabungan Prihatin Turkiye-Syria (joined in 2023 to respond to the earthquake disaster in Turkey and Syria).

Despite facing various challenges, CSM has continued to grow and succeed in its mission. One of its key achievements is the establishment of “Sekolah KITA,” a free alternative school for Syrian refugee children. These schools operate in Mafraq (Jordan), Kilis (Turkey), and Bangi (Malaysia), providing holistic academic education to over 80 children in Malaysia alone. On 13 October 2023, CSM further strengthened its credibility by receiving ISO 9001:2015 certification under the scope of humanitarian aid services.

The organization remains highly active throughout the year, especially during the winter season, Ramadan, Eid al-Adha, and through continuous support for education. With the motto “Your Help, Their Future”, CSM remains committed to bringing hope and dignity to those in need, focusing primarily on education, emergency aid, and welfare.
