Alzheimer's Disease Foundation Malaysia (ADFM)

Alzheimer's Disease Foundation Malaysia (ADFM), a non profit organization with tax exempt status, was founded in 1997 with the primary objectives to: 1. promote awareness of Alzheimer's Disease (AD) and other forms of dementia through public education & media publicity. 2. provide quality care for people living with AD and respite to their families through the setting up of day-care centre and home care centre. 3. provide training and guidance for family caregivers, healthcare professionals, allied healthcare workers & volunteers involved in the care of people living with dementia. 4. facilitate the setting-up of caregiver support groups nationwide by providing a conducive venue for caregivers to share their experiences and give each other mutual support. 5. promote & disseminate research findings on dementia. ADFM, a non-profit organization, depends solely on the support and generous contributions from individual caring Malaysians & public corporations to sustain the operation of our day-care centre, dementia care education training and outreach programs.
