  • Social interactions within communities are affected.
  • Sporting activities are neglected.

THE SOLUTION


  • To organise a Fun Run to foster unity and to promote healthy living.
  • To increase awareness of science and to promote the knowledge of aerospace technology.
  • To enjoy the beauty of flora and fauna.
     

THE IMPACT


The objective of the event is to encourage, inspire and motivate people of all ages and various backgrounds within the Putrajaya and Cyberjaya community to improve their mental and physical health through running and exercise in a fun and creative way. Our secondary objective is to improve the public awareness of space exploration and science education to the parents, youth and our future generation. Our Venus Run is a Fun Run; a friendly race that involves running along paved running tracks along the scenic Putrajaya Lake that is safe and away from road traffic with participants taking part for their own enjoyment rather than for competition. The event is planned to be held on the 7th of July 2019 in Putrajaya.

Goal Breakdown

Goal 1 - Rental of event venue from Jabatan Landskap & Taman Perbadanan Putrajaya. Amount Needed: MYR4,500.00

Goal 2 - Food and bananas. Amount Needed: MYR1,000.00

Goal 3 - Mineral water. Amount Needed: MYR500.00

Astronautical Association of Malaysia


The Astronautical Association of Malaysia (AstroX) was established in 2009 by members of the Astronaut Corps of Malaysia (Top 59 astronaut candidates of Malaysia's Angkasawan Programme) for the purpose of educating the public in the field of aerospace and science. Our patron is Malaysia's first astronaut Dato' Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor. The Astronautical Association of Malaysia has a proven track record of conducting CSR programmes recognized internationally and within the country by awards and honours in the field of aerospace education.
