THE PROBLEM
Pertubuhan Kebajikan Tumpang Gembira brings a light of joy to the disadvantaged families, especially the orphans. We are a small organization that always tries to improve the lives of the community and the orphans by offering them what they need the most.
Children who don't have new uniforms and stationery to start the school year can feel left behind and ashamed before their colleagues.
THE SOLUTION
So let’s give all children new uniforms and bags, so they are excited to go back to school in 2018 and can build better lives for themselves.
How the funds will be used:
- Full school uniforms x 40 children = RM 6,000
- School supplies and stationery x 40 children = RM 2,000
THE IMPACT
This program not only helps to reduce their burden but also encourages them to go to school.
Since the program was implemented in 2014 until now, more than 150 orphans around Kuala Lumpur and Selangor have been benefited with school uniforms, new school bags and stationery. They are brought to the nearest supermarket, and they choose their own clothes and bags, as they like. The program ends with a festive lunch.
