PWW provides a safe space for women and children victims of violence who need temporary shelter.
“My drunken husband and in-laws kicked me out of the house one night. I didn’t have a place to go to and did not have anything with me at all. I went to a nearby neighbour and she called PWW for a place to put up a night and have a change of clothes. I am so grateful there was a place to go to temporarily. I stayed for a week and PWW helped me with all the necessary reports and procedures and found a part-time job. I am now waiting for legal proceedings in court” - R
They come to us in a fragile state and need accommodation, food and safety.
Normally, we have around 3-4 women and children in our temporary home in Perak and new ones come in every week or so. Your donation will help ensure that our doors are always open to them.
We need funding to cover the cost of the rent of the house that serves as a temporary accommodation for victims of domestic violence during 12 months.
Those who seek our help are mothers, children, both young and old, and they need us to stand with them when nobody else will. Some have suffered from severe physical violence, sometimes for years, until they have the strength to seek help.
Perak Women for Women provides these victims with the safety and security that they need to heal and rebuild their lives, offering counselling, legal advice, and shelter.

We support women and children victims of violence in Perak since 2003.
The mission of Perak Women for Women is to assist women and children who are victims of abuse, violence, and discrimination irrespective of their race, religion, and social status.
Countless women and children who have been abused, neglected, raped, and whose rights have been violated have come and gone through our doors since 2003. Many are depressed and hurt, physically or psychologically. We provide these victims with the safety and security that they need to heal and rebuild their lives, offering counselling, legal advice, and shelter.
PWW has a home where women and children in need of temporary accommodation find a safe space to recover. We also organize talks and activities to raise awareness on issues faced by women to educate them on their rights.
Perak Women for Women works to empower women and support them in becoming stronger and more self-sufficient.
