Children with developmental complications and learning difficulties from B40 households have trouble attaining proper healthcare and education. B40 refers to the bottom 40% of households with a monthly income of less than +/- RM3800.
Sri Eden focuses on individualized education plans and impact independent living skills by combining academics, structured and creative learning programmes to draw out the best in these children.
The goal of this campaign is to have sufficient funds to educate 60 children with special needs from less fortunate and broken families in Malaysia. You can make a difference by partnering with us to provide the interventions suited for these marginalized children.
The cost needed for providing each child’s intervention is to cover the expenses of rental and utilities of the center, hiring special education teachers & therapists and maintenance of therapy equipment. This is a burden to families with financial difficulties and especially for families who have more than one child with special needs, single mothers and broken families. Sri Eden greatly depends on donors to sponsor the child’s intervention costs on a sustainable basis.
We need RM500/month per child (5 days a week).
This includes:
Join in our mission to serve children and adolecents with special needs from B40 households in the Klang Valley.
YOU can empower these children by giving them the targetted intervention they need and allowing them to grow in a supportive and loving environment.

Sri Eden was founded in 2000 by five ladies who were drawn to cater to the needs of children with special needs. Sri Eden started off as a private establishment with only 3 teachers. In 2009, we transitioned to a non-profit, non-governmental organisation (NGO) as there was a much higher need to serve children with special needs among the underpriviledged community. In year 2012, we recruited our first speech therapist as we had a large number of children who suffered from speech and language difficulties. Two years later, we also started providing occupational therapy for our children.Currently we are operating as a non-profit, non-governmental special needs center with a multidisciplinary team, catering to a holistic intervention approach for children and adolescence with a diverse ranger of learning difficulties. These children comprise of those with Austism Spectrum Disorder, Down's Syndrome, Dyspraxia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and undiagnosed conditions.
Sri Eden provides early intervention, academic learning, training on living skills & pre-vocational skills programs for children and adolescents with special needs. We guide each child with an aim to achieve his/her highest potential in hopes that they will lead an independent life and have a better future.
Many of our children have behaviour problems due to sensory dysfunction that prevents them from learning in a normal environment. These debilitating behaviours have to be managed through structured intervention, sensorial integration exercises conducted by our occupational therapists and those with speech delays and communication problems by our speech therapist.
Our mission is:
To serve the special needs community by developing their abilities to achieve their fullest potential through C.A.R.E.
• Committed to love & dedicated to train children with disabilities to achieve their highest potential.
• Personal Attention for every child.
• Encourage & attain appropriate Responses from the children.
• Achieve Effectiveness in transforming the lives of these special children through the centre’s training.
Operating a centre for these children involves high expenses, as each teacher is not able to handle more than 3-4 children at a time. The majority of our children comes from average or lower-income families and the contributions from the parents are insufficient to upkeep the centre's expenses.
We, therefore, have to depend on public donations to help sustain our work.
