We have a problem because of lockdown and no work for the refugee children’s parents and their inability to pay the school fees. This situation has left Shalom Education Centre in a very difficult situation with regards to the payment of the monthly rental for the Centre. We depend on the school fees from the children in part, to fulfil the payment of the monthly rental for the Centre.
Your kind assistance will help us to continue to be of great agents to equip and uplift the Myanmar refugee children. Therefore, In the light of these unexpected events, we are making a humble request to your good self, to kindly help us raise fund to pay our rental. Your kind consideration of and donations to our humble request will be lifesaving and most appreciated.
Our monthly rental is RM 4000/- therefore, we may need to raise funds until the MCO is over, approximately for two months in May and June. Inclusive of other necessary fees, our target amount for this campaign is RM 8520.
Our greatest impact is we have nurtured underprivileged refugee children in their growth and development by providing them with rounded education so they can create a brighter future for themselves. We aim to instil a strong sense of courage to act upon their beliefs, as well as a sense of understanding and compassion for others. Above all, we hope to bring up children with creative minds, as they mature through their childhood.
And also the skills acquired through Shalom Education Centre such as academic support, music instruments, martial arts, computer and transition readiness such as essential life skills, emotional support and relevant exposure are what they need to cope with challenges they face today and will encounter in the future, training them to be resilient, adaptive and empowered individual.
