The Indigenous (Orang Asli) community in Lubuk Chupak, Perak lives in impaired houses without electricity and clean water. The existing generator (EGY 1200) only affords electricity for the fans and lights of a single home within limited hours (7 PM -11 PM). Electricity supply for 24 houses in the village is limited and so is access to clean water. The community depends on water from a murky river that is 4 KM away. Children of Lubuk Chupak are unable to study at night and food source cannot be stored longer than a day without electricity. Proper sanitation, personal hygiene and hydration are impossible without access to clean water leaving the community vulnerable to water-borne illnesses. The community's quality of life is at stake without access to basic utilities on top of inaccessibility to internet, technology and proper tools.
THE SOLUTION
This dire situation the community is facing requires urgent solution. We want to:
We aim to raise funds for this community whereby 100% of the funds raised will be channelled into establishing the utility infrastructure which is electricity and clean water. Improve the livelihood of the Orang Asli community in Lubuk Chupak, Perak together with us!
