My name is Candy. I am a housewife and a mother of 5 children. My eldest child, Theodore Christian Lau, who is 22 years old this year was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder when he was 2 years old. My third child, Chalton Liam Chalvador, 6 years old, was diagnosed with Global Development Delay when he was 1 year and 6 months.
My eldest son (we call him Theo) is able to take care of himself and receive instructions well but has difficulties in focusing and is unable to work under pressure. Theo loves to draw and he is good at it. On the other hand, Liam is still having speech and sensory issues. He is unable to communicate verbally but he has learnt to give physical cue of his needs. We also taught him the alphabet and numbers 1 until 10.
Being a mother, I will not lose hope in giving the best to my children although sometimes my husband is facing financial constraint. My husband works as a security guard and I work for a commision based job to cover our monthly expenses. Our monthly income is barely enough to cover the fixed essential expenses including house rent, fuel, therapies, groceries and school fees.
Since Liam is in the early stages of development, his specialist strongly suggests an early intervention programme for him to develop his ability to care for himself in the long run, and support his ability to learn. Enrolling Liam in the Early Intervention Program that costs RM3100 inclusive of deposit will help him to obtain a proper special education program.
For the time being, we can only afford to send Liam for a weekly therapy session that costs RM240 per month. My youngest child has also been diagnosed with speech delay issues and the fees needed to cover his therapy amounts to RM1250.
We hope that by providing him with early intervention, he will be able to catch up and overcome this in school.
The financial aid will be a great support for us to cover monthly fees for Liam’s therapy. As a parent, we want the best for our children. Help us prepare them with a proper education and therapy that will allow them to take care of themselves in the future.
Your donations will help to sustain speech therapy for Liam, his enrollment into an Early Intervention Program, and at least 4 months worth of EIP fees.
Goal 1 - Liam’s enrollment to EIP. Amount Needed: MYR3,100.00
Goal 2 - 2 months worth of EIP fees. Amount Needed: MYR2,770.00
Goal 3 - Liam’s speech therapy. Amount Needed: MYR1,250.00
Goal 4 - Occupational therapy. Amount Needed: MYR2,880.00

Hi there,
My name is Xharene Angellav Ongko, I am representing our social enterprise "Happy and Lovely Kids Therapy Centre PLT (HaLoKids)".
HaLoKids Therapy centre is therapy centre who provide EIP (Early Intervention Program ) for children with special needs. We set up this centre under social entreprise with mission to provide affordable therapy centre for children with special needs in Kepong, Sungai Buloh, Damansara and nearby locaction. As we all known that EIP fee charged by normal commercial centre will be at range RM 1,800 - RM 6,000/ month, at here we only charge RM 1000/mth for those who enrol 5 days a week program and RM 800/mth for those who enroll 3 days a week program.
Somehow we do provide subsidy to B40s family . Our subsidy is in term discount up to 30% of our monthly fees, and it is based on the family household income.
Apperantly we are subsidizing 3 kids, and our subsidize fund actually using our personal fund. Therefore we are looking for some support to make sure we can continue our this project.
We set up this project since Feb 2018 and with 2 kids. This month on words we have 9 kids, but from the revenue we received and expenses that we need to bear we still not able to meet our break even point. Every month we still have to struggle to pay for our expenses.
We hope we can get some support in term in "Volunteers " and also "Funraising opportunites" from your side.
"Whatever amount of your contribution will helps for some one future"
sincerely
Xharene Ong
