Malaysia has numerous talented and passionate students who share strong interest in automotive and motorsport industry. Sadly, most of our institutions could not prepare such avenue for those who aspire to develop their career in these industries. Particularly in engineering studies, our institutions have little platform for students to develop their practical knowledge and hands-on skills, or even automotive knowledge where opportunities for researches on this field are only available in specific and saturated workplace.
PMT is a highly practical avenue for students of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) to build themselves in this aspect. Unfortunately, the lack of interest and support from the industry has resulted in the insufficient of financial support for the team to represent Malaysia to compete on a prestigious international platform – SFJ 2018. With the limited funds the team has, PMT has successfully built a brand new motorsport car named Lekir that undoubtedly has the potential to compete against other nations. With more than 90% of our tasks completed, we are in need of funds for the general expenditures at Japan of 13 members.
Out of the total expenditure of RM 113,930, PMT has secured RM 107,500 (mainly from UPM and food sales). With the remaining of RM 6,430 secured, the team will be able to bring Malaysia’s presence to SFJ 2018. But we will not stop there.
As a couple of members of PMT are also the committee members for Formula Student Malaysia (FSM), PMT’s presence in SFJ 2018 will be able to act as a catalyst to encourage other institutions to engage in motorsport competition. After returning from Japan, PMT will actively engage with other institutions as well as media platforms to promote our cause while sharing our personal experiences throughout this journey.

Pertubuhan Kebajikan TheGagaks Selangor focuses on children's welfare and education. Our main focus is to help children from urban poor and aborigine family to obtain healthy meals and education. We believe that with a decent meal, it could help them to at least focus on studies.
