While the Internet provides significant opportunities for children to learn and to express their creativity, these same tools may also increase children’s exposure to online risks such as cyberbullying and sexual exploitation, all of which can harm a child’s mental health and wellbeing. It is important that measures to mitigate risks should be balanced with children’s rights to freedom of expression, access to information, and privacy. Keeping children informed and engaged and empowering them with the skills to use the Internet safely is a critical line of defense.
In partnership with Youth After Midnight's parent organisation, Childline Foundation, Digital Superheroes regards children as superheroes of the digital environment and hopes to establish a digital well informed child community so that these children can continue to fulfill their full potential with the Internet as well as carry on the information to educate and empower their peers

Phase 1 - Programme Development and Volunteer Recruitment

Youths After Midnight is a movement kick-started by a group of youths from child advocacy backgrounds for two years. Powered by it’s parent organisation, Childline Foundation, Youths AM works closely with multiple NGOs and CSOs in efforts to advocate for children’s rights nationwide.
The Youths AM Movement is a way to continue pursuing our best efforts in championing child protection and welfare following our bittersweet journey of upholding children’s rights.
The branding of Youths After Midnight was inspired by our meetings that often stretched past the a.m. , ruining our sleep schedules. We’ve come a long way from being naive children to sleep-deprived youths tirelessly advocating on issues related to children and adolescents that are ever so important in this day and age. Namely, child advocate mentoring, youth empowerment, and primarily, our 2021 theme on child protection - cyber safety.
